HEREFORDSHIRE. A most decorative Victorian map of the county. The title is shown on a banner twining around an apple tree. Vignette views of Goodrich Castle, Garnstone House and Hereford. Across the top of the map is an elaborate display featuring three coats of arms. 7 1/4 x 10 inches, 182 x 255 mm. Uncoloured. Very small bottom blank margin which is common. Lightly toned but good condition.

FRUGIFERI AC AMENI HEREFORDIAE.... An early engraved map of the county engraved by William Hole after the survey by Christopher Saxton embellished with decorative title cartouche and the royal arms. Scale with compass rose and pair of dividers. 12 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches.Uncoloured. A light water stain in the top left and right hand corners. Early manuscript on verso reading Hereford Shire plus perhaps a name Budon or Bundon. This writing in brown ink shows through a little on the front side of the map.

HEREFORDSHIRE. An engraved map of the county embellished with the coat of arms of Lord Carpenter to whom the map is dedicated. 7 3/4 x 6 inches. Hand coloured. To the reverse side of the map around the edges are pieces of masking tape adhered to the map. No doubt used to hold the map in a mount at some time. Otherwise the map is in good condition.

A MAP OF HEREFORDSHIRE. An engraved count map with description beneath. Title panel. The map is surmounted by a baroque cartouche titled The Road from Bristol to West Chester. Strip road map on verso from Bristol to beyond Monmouth. 4 1/2 x 7 inches. Uncoloured. Good condition.
