The First Edition of this fine 17th century map of the county embellished with three strapwork cartouches displaying the title, Royal Arms and the Arms of Wales. Neptune is riding horse with a galleon and sea monster in the top left hand corner. Inset town plan of Denbigh with title cartouche, coat of arms and key. 20 x 14 inches. Description of the county in English with a list of towns and villages on verso. Uncoloured. Some light water staining across the two bottom corders otherwise good condition.

A good clean sharp impression of this unusual map embellished with many small figures and water nymths. Good blank margins with no trimming of the margins as is sometimes the case with this map. Good clean condition.
